During our webinar training call earlier tonight we were looking at the power and the importance of having a blog. Connecting the blog to your business website is very powerful. I pointed out, “Something else to be aware of is that you can actually use your keywords from Site Design SEO as subjects to write about in your blog.” This will allow any NicheStreet Pro / Site Design SEO member to get more out of the keywords that they have invested in. It will also help to prevent “writers block” that some may experience when they first get started writing posts on their blog.

The single biggest problem facing consumers in the world of technology is the high cost of cable television, according to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.

Cable TV pricing has risen a staggering 77 percent since 1996, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s double the rate of inflation, and it comes at a time when other technology prices are decreasing.

“The average family has very little choice as to what channels are included, yet they’re having to pay more and more for those same channels,” said FCC chairman Kevin Martin.

Martin said subscribers should have more choice for the amount of money they spend. Currently, American cable customers pay an average of about $60 a month, but people watch only about 15 channels, according to Joel Kelsey, a policy analyst with Consumers Union. If you want to watch a specific channel, you have to buy other channels you may never use because of the way the cable industry bundles channels together.

Michael Phelps Is Poetry In Motion

People routinely over use the word “Awesome” these days, to the point where it has lost its’ power. So I will start by saying that I am in awe. I’m thrilled to say that I have been following the Olympics very closely this year! It has been exciting, as always, but exceptionally so due to the drama that unfolded with the string of accomplishments of Michael Phelps. I actually managed to see every race, although not all in real time, but I saw them nevertheless. I was literally yelling and clapping for joy at the end of each win.

I remember feeling the same way in 1972 when Mark Spitz won his 7 Gold Medals, and as great as that was this was even better for me. Not just because Michael won 8 Gold Medals but because I appreciate the 38 years it took for someone so special to emerge from the pack of thousands of outstanding athletes before this happened. I also appreciate it for how close it came to NOT happening. I mean c’mon… coming from behind to win by one one thousandth of a second???

It was fun to participate in the drama of man’s never ending reach for perfection. And knowing that literally billions of other people were watching at the same time was a special feeling. So I just want to say Thank You and Congratulations Michael Phelps!!! Your accomplishment is so GRAND that it is truly shared with everyone in the world. It is truly inspirational to witness the fruits at the intersection of dedication, focus, faith, belief, talent, teamwork and discipline.
